WLI and its regional campuses train and equip men and women for leadership positions in local fellowships, translocal ministries and in the workplace.  It provides earned training units for those who desire ordination, licensing or other forms of public recognition in their local fellowship.  WLI awards earned diplomas for Bachelor of Practical Ministry, Master of Practical Ministry and Doctor of Practical Ministry.  We also offer an Associates of Practical ministry for those ages 19-24.  These diplomas do not certify levels of academic attainment, but rather accumulation of training units. 

The educational paradigm of Wagner Leadership Institute and its regional campuses differ considerably from traditional academic models of ministerial or ordination-track education.  This new methodology of training, follows patterns of contemporary adult education, and is not based exclusively or even primarily on a classroom format, programmed to meet predetermined academic standards.  Rather, it incorporates a variety of learning events and experiences which are offered as a basis for earning training units.
